"At least it's going to be sunny", I kept telling myself as we drove up to Catawba Island on Thursday night with the temperature of 48 degrees displayed on the dashboard. I should know better than to trust the weatherman. The clear skies that were promised turned out to be 100% cloudy instead. Oh well. Amanda and Joe, and their friends Craig and Erica, were on their way to go for a day sail on board Therapy for the first time. With the wind light and variable, we decided to sail (or motor, as the case may be) over to Put-In-Bay. There was only one other boat moored in the Bay as we took our mooring to go into town. We had a great pizza at Frosty Bar and caught part of the Mad Dog show in the

Round House Bar. I'm not sure, but I think we traumatized Amanda and Joe. With even less wind later in the day, we motored all the way back to port. Just in case the kids hadn't seen enough, Connie and I invited them to dinner at the Mon Ami. As usual, there was a band playing and the senior citizens were cutting the rug. Happy Feet Wilson (one of the seniors on the dance floor) was great entertainment but Craig and Erica couldn't even look. The next morning started out just as cool and cloudy as the first and we decided to pack it up and head back to Dayton. Hopefully next week will be better.
