Michelle in the hammock chair.
The Fourth of July brought Dave and Michelle Homan back to Therapy. We decided to get an early start to our three day weekend... by making a four day weekend, leaving Dayton in the early afternoon. This enabled us to get out on the Lake on Friday instead of spending the first night in the marina. As luck would have it, however, 3 to 4 foot rollers were pitching us around quite a bit which did not make Michelle happy. With the northeast wind and the large rollers, we cancelled our plans for an overnight at Kelley's Island, opting instead to head to safe mooring at Put-In-Bay. Dinner, drinks, and music by Disco Inferno had Michelle feeling better in no time.

Of course, no trip to Put-in-Bay would be without drinks with Mad Dog Mike Adams at the Round House and breakfast at Pasquale's. I think we did both, twice. One dinner however was provided by our resident chef, First Mate Connie, who sacrificed herself to save a sausage that rolled off the grill. One problem though... she forgot that she was wearing her sunglasses. Those glasses, along with our scrub brush, two drink holders, one of my hats and two pair of my glasses... rest at the bottom of Lake Erie. Hot summer days typically mean little winds, so we motored to Kelley's Island on Sunday.

After partying like rock stars all weekend, the group decided to chill for the remainder of our holiday by dropping the hook off the north side of Kelley's Island. We weren't even past Ballast Island before Dave and Michelle started snoring. There must be something about sun, beer, waves, beer, music, beer, and wind... that's physically draining. No wonder so many sailors are skinny. As always, we enjoyed our stay at Kelley's Island and our time with the Homan's. Many laughs and stories were told, as well as one game of Farkle.
